More passion than work.
We are two people, married in private life. Urban Flip Studio grew out of our shared passion project.
We renovated our first apartments with our own money, at our own risk. That is where we learned how much a good layout, well-planned light or a precisely finished joint matters.
Today we work for clients too, from A to Z: from survey and design through construction and procurement to furnishing and handover. One of us thinks through the spaces, the light and the materials; the other organises and runs the build — so the decisions made at the drawing board don’t get lost on site.
We don’t want to become a big company. We deliberately take on only a few projects at a time, so that each one gets our real attention.
Our biggest project together so far is the Vámház körút apartment, Project Olive. We spent months searching for the tiles, the lamps, the door handles and the colours — and we bring the same attention to our clients’ homes.
Two of us, from two sides

Structure and construction

The technical side of the renovation: surveys, demolition and wall plans, mechanical and electrical systems, structurally demanding solutions — such as the steel-framed gallery on Vámház körút. He organises and runs the build and keeps in touch with the trades.

Interior and furnishing
Sugi
The spaces, the light and the materials: layout, colour palette, finishes, lighting, furniture and textiles. She thinks through how the renovated apartment becomes a liveable, personal home — and follows the furnishing through to the last detail.
We are there throughout.
We don’t make off-the-shelf products. We hand-pick the tiles, the lamps, the door handles and the colours — and we test the paint shades on site, in the apartment’s own light, as in the photo. During construction we are on site regularly, so the decisions made at the drawing board end up on the walls the way we imagined them.
The physical work is done by a steady, reliable team we work with from project to project — from demolition to laying the parquet.
